Stars at Kumeyaay Lake
Two Father Junípero Serra Trail, San Diego, 92119
Cost: Free
Join members from the San Diego Astronomy Association at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Parking Lot to view the nighttime sky through telescopes. Set up at dusk in the day-use parking lot, which is just to the right after you enter the campground. Bright moon does not rise until 10:22pm. This is a good night for planet hunting at Mission trails. Jupiter, Saturn, and even Neptune will be observable. This will be one of the darker nights at Mission Trails so go hunting for the Great Galaxy in Andromeda. Of course, bright Pleiades and Double Cluster in Perseus will be nice.
Cancellations due to weather may occur.
