Stars at Kumeyaay Lake

Join members from the San Diego Astronomy Association at the far end of the Kumeyaay Lake Campground’s Day Use Parking Lot to view the nighttime sky through telescopes. Set up at dusk in the day-use parking lot, which is just to the right after you enter the campground. Almost full moon rises at 9:05. Concentrate on bright double stars, Jupiter, and the Orion Nebula before it sets in the West. Go for the Beehive Cluster (pictured) and the Double Cluster.
