Mission Hills Historic Home Tour: Spanish Architectural Styles
At the 18th Annual Mission Hills Historic Home Tour, enjoy a self-paced, docent-led tour of the interiors of several historic Spanish-style homes built by Master Builders such as Pear Pearson and William Wahrenberger, and Master Architect Richard Requa. Inspired by the visionary designs of Bertram Goodhue and Carleton Winslow from the 1915 San Diego Exposition, these enchanting homes often showcase white-washed stucco exteriors, graceful low-pitched tile roofs, intricate ironwork, colorful tiled interiors, and lush tropical gardens. Highlights on tour day include a coffee truck, pastry pop-up cart, and a relaxing refreshment stop at Mission Hills Financial within the historic Montclaire building.
