Centennial Celebration - Homecoming Weekend & Family Reunion
The rich history and committed dedication to ministry is being celebrated this month at a centennial celebration highlighting 100 years of spiritual service to the community of San Diego. This three-day gathering is bringing together individuals from all over the nation for fellowship, praise and worship and preaching at Fountain of Life Church, formerly known as Jackson Memorial Church of God in Christ, on the corner of Oceanview Boulevard and 38th Streets.
Special guest speakers, musical tributes and a concert, and special presentations are planned, and everything gets started with the opening day service and “fish fry” on Friday, May 23; followed by an “Old School Concert” starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 24 and ending on Sunday with a morning service at 11 a.m. and evening services at 4 p.m. Mementos and commemorative gifts capturing the legacy of community involvement and ministry will be available and participants are encouraged to relive and recall over a century of service as a church and community of believers. City officials, community leaders and local recording artists will add to the festivities over the weekend.
