Christmas Eve Festival of Lessons & Carols
This beloved Christmas Eve service weaves together ten Scripture readings—from Genesis through the Gospels—that proclaim God’s promise of a Savior and the fulfillment of that promise in Jesus Christ. Between and around the lessons, the congregation sings twelve traditional Christmas carols. After the service, guests are invited to enjoy Christmas cookies and warm cider.
“As we mark twenty-five years as a congregation, we can think of no better way to end this anniversary year than by gathering with our neighbors to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ,” said Rev. Dr. Daniel R. Hyde, pastor of Oceanside United Reformed Church. “Our Festival of Lessons & Carols is our gift to the community—our doors and our hearts are open to you.”
The event is free and open to the public. Street parking is available, and the chapel includes a quiet area for families with small children.
