San Diego International Fringe Festival: Audition Sides
After a messy affair and a nasty breakup, two actors are thrust back together to play opposite each other in a callback that just won't end. A humorous look at the worst possible callback room where two people struggling to stay away from each other are forced into each other's arms, this three person play also delves into the actor's experience as the couple navigate the endless dance call, the preposterous number of sides the auditors now don't want to see, and the not-quite-certainty that these roles were precast to begin with.
Inspired by the grief-comedy of "Fleabag," this script by Sarah Alida LeClair evokes familiar moments in the actor's life.
Directed by Kay McNellen in her San Diego directorial debut, and featuring Josalyn Johnson as The Proctor, Jason Schlarmann as The Man and Sarah Alida LeClair as The Woman.
