Wining & Dining in Renaissance Europe
Culinary Historians of San Diego will present “Wining and Dining in Renaissance Europe,” by Barbara Baxter, via Zoom. The Renaissance shed new light on many aspects of life including wining and dining, and banquet manners. Join us for this hour-long culinary and artistic journey from the Medieval Period to the Modern Age. Since Barbara Baxter studied wine academically at the Sorbonne in Paris, she has continued her inquiry into the heritage of wine ever since. The editor of Planet Wine, she has created visitor education programs for Francis Ford Coppola’s Rubicon Estate, and has worked at the prestigious Sterling Vineyards and Opus One, also making wine in Napa Valley.
