Learning All About Wild Urban Parrots
3900 Vermont Street, San Diego, 92103
Cost: Free
A representative from SoCal Parrot, Sarah Mansfield Operations Manager or Brooke Durham Founder/Director, will be sharing photos, videos, and information about our local wild parrots. Learn where they came from, which species reside in San Diego, and what is being done to keep them flying. Founded in 2010, SoCal Parrot is a San Diego-based 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to the rescue and care of injured or orphaned wild parrots. Southern California is home to a dozen wild parrot species. SoCal Parrot promotes local awareness and protection through community outreach with local biologists, ornithologists, avian veterinarians, and educators to expand the knowledge base.
