Help Create Native Bird & Butterfly Garden
Join San Diego Audubon, the City Park and Rec Department, the California Native Plant Society and the San Diego City College Audubon Chapter as we break ground on a native plant bird and butterfly garden at the Otay Valley Regional Park. We will be restoring coastal sage scrub habitat by planting native plants, thereby improving the habitat for birds, bees and other pollinators. This is our first event here, and we need all hands on deck to create a beautiful, productive native garden. The event will take place at the ranger station off of Beyer Blvd. We will supply all needed tools, as well as snacks, sunscreen, gloves and water. Volunteers should come prepared in closed-toed shoes and long pants, and bring a reusable water bottle and a hat/sunglasses. If interested, RSVP to [email protected].
