Cardiff Greek Festival
Your weekend in Greece -- no airplane required! Join us Sept. 7th and Sept. 8th for your weekend stay-cay as we transform our church grounds in Cardiff/Encinitas into a Greek village. You'll find lots of family friendly activities to get you started. We have kids' games with prizes, performances by folk dancers in traditional costumes, church tours, free music on multiple stages, plenty of food for purchase (including vegetarian options), our Greek Deli, and of course, our delicious pastries (pre-purchase now available on cardiffgreekfest.com). Our popular Culinary Theater will feature free cooking lessons from noted San Diego Chef Adriana Sanchez- Perez (seen on the Food Network and KUSI) of Driana Foods. And our updated wine and spirits offerings will feature local favorites (Oggi's on tap), and some of the finest offerings from Greece including Fos and the only Greek beer on tap available locally! Need to walk off a few souvlaki or a pastry? Shop our vendor booths: Gem Works Jewelry, Grecian Soap, Koralia Jewelry, home goods from My Greek Home, clothing from Only Prettier, handbags from Shakeel Concepts, T-shirts from Gas Lamp Printing, Bird Rock shoes, Hestia Foods, and Julie's Gift Collection. This year we will also have TVs available in one of our bars so you can catch the games while having a Greek snack (mezes) and refreshing beverages. And if you are feeling lucky, we have our annual raffle. The prize is a new Mercedes OR you can take a cash payout. Whether you visit the pastries first (we often sell out!), or grab a Gyros, a souvlaki (shish-kebab), or visit our dinner line, make sure you also check out the dance floor. Let your feet move to the Greek music and enjoy the day on our island by the sea. Best stay-cay ever? We sure think so! FAQs Are dogs or pets allowed? We love our pets too but this event is not suitable for pets. Only properly licensed service animals will be allowed to enter the church grounds. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is free at Mira Costa college which is right next door. If you are coming via train, the Encinitas train station is just a few minutes away via Uber or Lyft or via Taxi if one is around. What can I bring into the event? Small bags and purses are allowed. No oversized bags or duffle bags. You may bring water bottles but no outside food or drink are allowed. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Send an email to [email protected] Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, not a problem. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There is no minimum age to enter. Children 12 and under are free. Where does the money you raise go? Funds raised at the Festival are used to support the church's ministries. Our ministries work with local organizations such as Interfaith Ministries or God's Extended Hand. We also support our community by sponsoring Boy Scouts Troup 200, hosting cultural events put on by Bach Collegium and the North Coast Symphony, among other events. We also support Project Mexica, and national and international missions to help those in need.
