The next installment of Seaport Sessions will host, Kurosh Yahyai as he discusses his art and personal experience as one of the two featured artists at Studio By the Bay! Studio By the Bay is an extension of The New Children’s Museum’s process-based art practice that allows for local artists to stimulate creativity and imagination in visitors. Yahyai’s work focuses on the idea of “self” through painted figures either visually, abstractly, or representationally. Using a traditional style of oil painting with a contemporary approach, Yahyai achieves a blend of older method techniques that appear in classic figurative oil painting with a modern context.
