Inspired by the works of the ancient artisans, religious manuscripts and modern masters, artist Duke Windsor will guide the student through the history, tools and many facets of applying gold, silver and copper leaf on simple and complex projects, sculptural, experimental and more. This workshop will be 4 hours in duration and will help each participant open up to a whole new element of artistic creation. The student will take away from this workshop the basics in gilding techniques and will be able to utilize this medium for a variety of personal creative projects. Participants should bring their personal art tools and a project(s) to work on. Beginners will be supplied a project to complete. Metal Leaf, sizing and other tools will be provided by instructor. It is recommended you purchase a gilder's tip beforehand (see registration page for details).
