Life Through Miriam's Eyes Art Show
“The tree has to be growing as you paint it. The water on the brush is the rain that feeds it, and your eye is the sunlight that shapes it. It must always be actively living, reaching for the sky.” So Miriam would say to her art students. From her childhood in WWI-era Boston to her final years in Southern California, painting was the act of directly translating life into vibrant color and shape. Miriam Boroff Studio is having its first local exhibit and holiday sale, where we'll be displaying some of Miriam's most well-loved oil and watercolor paintings, along with an offering of her original etchings, woodblocks, and lithographs for sale. Add some live music from Miriam's family (Phil and David Boroff), along with the excellent food offered by Brew Coffee Spot.
