Tea & Chocolate Tasting
This class will take you on a journey through the complementary worlds of the leaf and the cacao bean where aromatics in tea intensify the taste of chocolate, and chocolate brings out the natural sweetness and nuttiness of the tea. We'll be pairing dark chocolates from Dominican Republic, Bolivia, dark milk from Ecuador with some smokey, citrusy black teas, as well as oolong and pu-erh. During the 1.5 hour tasting you'll learn about tea and cacao origins, chocolate-making basics, nibble on cocoa beans, sip tea and taste a lot of chocolate. Tickets include testers of 4 craft chocolates and tea, roasted cocoa beans, palate cleansers (crackers, apples) and individual placemats. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased online to reserve your spot.
