Día de los Muertos with Tequila Cazadores
In honor of Día de los Muertos, Tequila Cazadores has partnered with acclaimed Mexican street and textile artist Victoria Villasana to reimagine a camper as the “Altar of Arandas” - an authentic ofrenda (altar) celebrate the lives of the living and dead that has been traveling to bars across the country and will be making its stop at The Cosmopolitan Restaurant in San Diego nearby one of the country’s largest Día de los Muertos festivals: the annual Old Town Día de los Muertos festival. The educational and immersive experience will take guests through a journey where they’ll learn about the history of the holiday and participate in centuries-old traditions, as well as enjoy delicious Tequila Cazadores cocktails. Before entering the Altar from Arandas, guests will be encouraged to print a photograph of a lost loved one, which will be framed and designed in Villasana’’s signature style. Following the experience, they’ll be welcomed to enjoy a complimentary Día de los Muertos cocktail at The Cosmopolitan Restaurant. Local bars Barra Barra Saloon and Casa de Reyes Restaurant will also be offering special Cazadores cocktails to celebrate the holiday.
