Saving Heirloom Seeds
As part of the Ocean Beach Seed Library's educational component, we are please to announcing an upcoming program entitled "Saving Heirloom Seeds" lead by the Mongol Tribe. Heirloom seeds are a rich cultural heritage that our ancestors have bestowed upon us. Learning to cultivate and preserve these seeds is an empowering opportunity to connect with our health and wellness. Join us as Nathan Lou, Executive Director of the Mongol Tribe, guides us through the history of heirloom seeds and their conservation. You will learn what heirloom seeds are, why they are important, where to find them and which ones are easy to save. After the lecture, browse and check out some heirloom seeds from the Ocean Beach Seed Library! Join this community movement of sustainable urban agriculture and food/seed sovereignty.
