Sandcastle & Sunset Beach Party
Join San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy for a free-spirited beach party featuring the unveiling of a new name ... as the nonprofit land trust moves into the future. Participants of all ages can enjoy beach games, sunset, and the uplifting vibes of a community drum circle. Light refreshments available. As guests watch the completion of a giant sandcastle with imaginative nature scenes, the new name and logo will be revealed by 6:30 p.m. San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy was founded in 1987 by volunteer community members who were concerned about the health of San Elijo Lagoon. In the last 30 years, the nonprofit land trust has grown to inspire conservation action across North County San Diego, and beyond. The new name reflects these growing impacts. One by one, the San Diego Sand Castles sculptor will carve out the letters. The first 100 guests will receive limited-edition commemorative enamel pins, and even a special gift for pup.
