In 2019, the Chicano Federation will celebrate its 50th Anniversary of being an established and well-respected organization providing comprehensive, neighborhood-based services to a large and diverse population. To celebrate this monumental milestone, in lieu of an annual luncheon, The Chicano Federation will kick things up a notch with a lavish extravaganza. Extending a unique opportunity to join a diverse group of guests, The Chicano Federation 50th Anniversary Ball, sponsored by Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, will bring together hundreds of business and community leaders, featuring keynote speaker Thomas A. Saenz, President and General Counsel of MALDEF, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Guests are encouraged to mingle among the crowd and peruse unique silent auction packages as the celebrations kick off with an elegant twist on the classic cocktail hour. Greeted with complimentary champagne at the dazzling ballroom doors, The U.S. Grant sets the perfect scene for guests to socialize over a variety of creative concoctions and elevated hors d’oeuvres. The exclusive gala will continue by dishing out delectable dinner offerings for guests to enjoy throughout the program. Top off the night with a lively live auction and dancing to the energetic sounds of a live salsa band for an evening of luxurious celebrations you’ll never forget! Proceeds will support The Chicano Federation in scaling programs and services to meet ever-increasing community needs for quality child development programs, affordable housing and additional programs and services that are critical to helping the day-to-day lives of San Diego families.
