Guided Hike: South Rim Trail
Join the San Diego River Park Foundation for a guided hike through Eagle Peak Ranch, a 414 acre open space preserve! Hikers will explore the South Rim Trail. This 5.2 mile hike travels through chaparral habitats. Come enjoy a beautiful day in nature and see for yourself why the San Diego River is worth preserving! South Rim Trail: • Distance (Roundtrip): 5.2 • Elevation Change: 490 ft. • Difficulty: Moderate-Difficult How to Prepare: • Bring at least 2 liters of water. • Wear sturdy hiking shoes and sun protection to keep yourself comfortable. • Poison oak is present, so long pants are recommended. • Pack a sack lunch or snack. • Dogs are not allowed. • This hike is not kid-friendly.
