Luis Alberto Urrea in conversation with Paul Espinosa
Paul Espinosa is a name familiar to local film lovers for his award-winning documentaries The Lemon Grove Incident, Singing My Way to Freedom, The Hunt for Pancho Villa, etc. Luis Alberto Urrea is his bookish equivalent, a Mexican American poet, novelist, and essayist. NPR has dubbed Urrea a “literary badass” and a “master storyteller with a rock and roll heart.” According to his website, the self-effacing Urrea describes himself as a guy who has “written a bunch of books, stories & poems, and I’ll write a bunch more.” Together they take to the stage in Liberty Station’s Main Hall for this year’s 3rd Annual Festival of Books. Be there for what’s bound to be a lively meeting of the minds. For more information visit: https://espinosaproductions.
