Summer Food Truck Festival
The Valley Center Summer Food Truck Festival once again rolls into Bates Nut Farm with more food, entertainment and family fun. It all takes place on Saturday, August 17 with several of Southern California's top gourmet food trucks as the main attraction. The fun continues with an overnight camp out under the stars, along with a movie night to benefit the American Cancer Society. Participating in this year’s festival are many crowd favorites including Organic, Epic Eatz, SuperQ, Mariposa Ice Cream, Mangia Mangia, Two For the Road, and Lil Miss Shortcakes. The food trucks will be serving from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Live music by Calico Ridge happens from 4:30 -7:30 on the Bates Stage. Kids will have fun with Snow’s Pony Rides and petting zoo, and the in the Kids Zone with a bounce house, face painting and slide. Guests 21 and over with ID can pair their food truck fare with wine and beer in the Valley Center Optimist Club’s beer garden. Bates invites family and friends to make a night of it with a campout on the farm. It is just $25 per tent or RV. Camp sites will be available from 10 am Saturday, August 17 until 12 pm Sunday, August 18. The movie, “Mary Poppins Returns” will be shown beginning at 7:45 for $5.00 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.
