Photography Hike
The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC), in partnership with Heaviland Landscape Management, is planning a free, guided-nature photography hike with Heaviland’s landscape designer Bryal Hilton. This 3.8-mile-loop hike provides opportunities for photographers of all levels to practice their skills. They will experience the beauty of Bernardo Bay near Lake Hodges— an important habitat refuge for many native and migratory animal species—and explore Escondido’s Piedras Pintadas (“painted rocks”) trail, stopping at select locations along the trail to photograph the scenery and wildlife. Along the trail, Hilton will point out the best native plants to place in home gardens as part of the SDRVC’s Next to Nature Certification Program. What to bring: camera, water, proper shoes and a sense of adventure. Directions available with registration.
