BAROQUE AND BLUE offers an all-embracing list of composers and merging of musical styles. The “A Minor Suite for Flute” by Telemann includes zestful dances of French, Italian, and Polish origins underlining Telemann’s cosmopolitanism. Selections from Claude Bolling's irresistible crossover “Suite for Classical Flute and Jazz Piano Trio” will be paired with Alec Wilder’s “Flute and Bongos No. 1.” George Gershwin's “Lullaby for String Quartet” along with selections from his “Porgy and Bess Suite” for violin and piano, arranged by Jascha Heifetz, will round out this integration of jazz and classical compositions.
