262 East Grand Avenue, Escondido, 92025
Cost: Free
Author Patrick Coleman reads from his first collection of poems, "Fire Season", a book which was mostly dictated into an audio recorder, awaiting the birth of a child, on his commute between the art museum in Balboa Park where he worked, and his home in an area of Ramona that had burned in the Witch Creek Fire of 2007. He is an art publications editor as well as program manager of the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination at UCSD. After a short break, an open reading for all attendees occurs in the second hour of the afternoon.
