Scott is the co-founder of GitHub, a web-based hosting service for version control using Git. More than 28 million use GitHub, mostly for computer coding. This year, Microsoft purchased GitHub for $7.5 billion. Scott recently founded Chatterbug, a new way to learn a language using an adaptive system that responds to the way you learn. Scott left GitHub in 2016 to start his new app, Chatterbug, which pairs new language learners with live tutors to achieve fluency. He is the author of Pro Git and regularly presents at conferences around the world. Scott is an alumnus of Warren College and earned his degree in Visual and Computing Arts in 2002.
