Carlsbad Film Series: Goodbye Christopher Robin
1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad, 92009
Cost: Free
(2017, PG, 107 min.) A.A. Milne retreats to the English countryside to write and heal from his experience with war. Instead, MIlne became inspired by his son, Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), and his imaginary friends, publishing Winnie-the-Pooh. The book brought joy to many around the world, but strained their relationship. Join us for previews and additional information about the film beginning at 5:30 p.m. Film will begin at 6 p.m. Seating is first come, first served. Stay afterward for a post-show discussion of the film. Film screening is made possible by the Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation's Robert H. Gartner Cultural Endowment Fund. Admission is free.
