Hop-On: Secret Spot Early Release Party
The cat's out of the bag! The past few months we've been hard at surf with the kooks at Way Way Out There on a special Andy Davis Designs x Duck Foot Brewing Company collaboration SERIES! The Hop-On Series will be seasonally rotational, featuring a new beer and new Andy Davis art every time, and launching March 17th at an Early Release Party just for our loyal Quackheads. The first beer of the series is named Secret Spot, so naturally the Early Release Party will mark the first day the beer will be available, and will remain available solely at the Duck Foot taproom until April 2nd when it makes its way onto shelves and taps at your local spots. Early Release Party March 17: Join us all day March 17th for a Secret Spot Early Release Party! This is open-house style with the beer available on tap and in cans starting at 12noon and a few scheduled events throughout: — 2PM and 5PM: Free Brewery Tours with Duck Foot Owners Matt DelVecchio and Brett Goldstock — 3-4PM: Meet and Greet Hour with Artist Andy Davis and Duck Foot owners Matt and Brett. — 4:30PM: Raffle benefitting Surfrider Foundation. Prizes include: Andy Davis Art, a limited edition Andy Davis Igloo Cooler stuffed with DF + Andy merch, and more! **We've also gotten our greasy palms on the last available stock of these sold out Andy Davis Coolers for you to pick up and pack with Secret Spot cans. — PLUS the Snack Grill Food Truck will be here from 2pm-8pm serving up noms. Tasting Notes Name: Secret Spot Hazy IPA Series: First Release of the 2018 Hop-On IPA Series, a collaboration between Duck Foot Brewing Co. and artist Andy Davis ABV: 7.4% IBUs: 50 Hops: Motueka, Citra Aroma: Big notes of mango, peach and citrus with lighter notes of pine and resin. Light background notes of biscuity malt. Flavor: Notes of melon, passion fruit and lychee mingle with an allover citrusy character while a restrained hop bitterness allows a hint of malt sweetness to come through. Palate: Pleasantly dry finish despite the tough of malt sweetness. Some lingering hop bitterness helps dry out the finish. Medium carbonation provides a bit of acid to balance it all out.
