Author of the Month: David Coddon
David Coddon is a San Diego-based fiction writer, journalist, and educator. Formerly the editor of the San Diego Union-Tribune’s “Night & Day” and “Currents Weekend” sections, he is currently the theater critic for San Diego CityBeat. He teaches journalism at San Diego State and English at both San Diego Mesa College and UCSD Extension. In addition to There and Back Again, he is the author of the novel The Romancer.
When Los Angeles newspaper reporter Laura LaFlamme returns to her job after being brutally attacked while on assignment in Central America, she finds herself both exploited by her employer and haunted by her traumatic ordeal. When she abruptly quits her job and vanishes from the state, veteran journalist Bill Wade, a colleague who scarcely knew Laura, sets out to find her.
