Steam Speaks: Cognitive Science Q&A
Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary study of human behavior and intelligence, with a focus on how information is perceived, processed and transformed, drawing from anthropology, biology, computer science, linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy and sociology, according to UC Davis. Join us for a free informal discussion and Q&A with highly-esteemed members in the field of cognitive science: Melissa Troyer, graduate student; Nan Renner, PhD, senior director of learning design and innovation at Scripps Institution of Oceanography; and Deborah Forster, PhD, robotics researcher. Learn about how they became involved in science, what the field of cognitive science is, and the workings of behavior and culture. We will end the event with time for Q&A and will have a trivia game with prizes. Food and beverages will be available as well. You must RSVP to attend this event.
