Red Shoe Day
Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego’s annual Red Shoe Day fundraiser will take place on Thursday, June 21 and will raise funds to support families with a critically ill or injured child in a local hospital. More than 1,500 enthusiastic volunteers will be collecting cash donations into big red shoes across nearly 200 San Diego County intersections. Morning commuters on June 21 are encouraged to toss spare change and dollars to these Red Shoe Day volunteers to help San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House provide overnight rooms, meals and other care to families who have a hospitalized child. Community support is critical to the charity’s success and Red Shoe Day is a meaningful way to contribute to the well-being of families in medical crisis. Donations will also be accepted at participating McDonald’s restaurants from June 3 - 24.
