The Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate (BMC) will host its next installment of the Breakfast at the BMC Lecture Series on June 6th. The program will highlight "Corporate and Individual Impacts of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and How to React to It." Panelists will include: Russell Broadway, tax account leader, EY; James Gergurich '99 JD, tax principal, KPMG; Cory Grant, founder and partner, Grant Hinkle and Jacobs Inc. Areas that will be covered: Summary of select provisions (i.e. reduced individual and corporate rates, qualified business income, carried interest, estate tax, etc.) Review of relevant case studies How to qualify for certain benefits and examples of savings if achieved Impacts on various stakeholders Open Q&A session The Breakfast at the BMC Lecture Series was launched by the BMC in 2007 to showcase extraordinary real estate leaders and to address current issues that affect the real estate industry. Past speakers include philanthropist Ernest Rady, former MLB Commissioner Peter Ueberroth, JMI Realty’s John Kratzer and Janet Yellen, former chair of the Federal Reserve.
