Jeffrey Lehmann’s Maritime Silk Road Documentary & Lecture
The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum will be hosting Emmy award-winning Producer Jeffery Lehmann for a screening of Maritime Silk Road: Birth of the Global Economy.
Jeffrey Lehmann gives the following summary of the documentary, “The Maritime Silk Road, the sea trade route from China to Europe, has driven world history for more than 2,200 years. The fall of Rome, bubonic plague, Europe’s renaissance, Christopher Columbus’s voyages, the rise and fall of Imperial China, the American Revolution and much more were caused by it. This series dispels the land-based silk road myth, premieres the world’s oldest intact shipwreck and more in this fast-paced and humorous, yet information-packed series.” For more information, visit MaritimeSilkRoadHistory.org.
