Orvieto Piano Trio
The popular Orvieto Piano Trio will perform a medley of classical music, nuanced with tango and jazz in the second floor community room. The concert will include the passionate and memorable Piano Trio in F# minor by Babajanian, the heartrending Piano Trio in G minor by Smetana, the lively tango Buenos Aires Summer by Piazzolla and Kapustin's jazz/classical fusion Divertissement no. 1, from Op. 126. For those unfamiliar with these longtime local favorites, the Orvieto Piano Trio met in 2009 at a music festival in the Italian hill town of Orvieto. With each contributing significant musical backgrounds, they were moved by their musical synergy and its compelling art to form their group. They are violist/pianist Dr. Bryan Chow, violinist Luren Basney, and cellist Daniel Frankhuizen.
