Reiki Corps Victorian Psychic Faire
San Diego Reiki Corps – Victorian Psychic Faire and House Tour Come, step back in time, to a gentler era and enjoy a Sunday afternoon with the fragrance of wisteria and roses sweetening the air. Spend the day at a Victoria Psychic Faire after touring a fully restored Queen Ann Victorian home located atop a corner in Escondido. This is exactly what you can do on April 29, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is sponsored by the San Diego Reiki Corps (SDRC), a nonprofit organization providing Reiki throughout San Diego county through outreach events and education. The Albert Beach House, a Queen Ann Victorian Home will be open for guided tours. The house is the residence of Mark and Julie Anne Moore and they are generously opening their home for this event. The home is on the National Historical Register. This is truly the opportunity to step back in time and see the beauty of what it was like to live in the late 1800’s. Tickets for entry to the tour are $20, tax-deductible, and available on-line at www.sandiegoreikicorps.org. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the afternoon of the event. Once you’ve experienced the visual feast of the Albert Beach House, continue enjoying the grounds which are filled with hedges, roses, wisteria and palms. A variety of colors and fragrances not to be missed. Additionally, for nominal fees there will be psychics available for readings, vendors with a variety of wares to temp you, a Wheel of Fortune, baked goods and drinks, strolling minstrels and perhaps a surprise or two. This most special event is a fund-raiser for the San Diego Reiki Corps. Some of you have heard of/or experienced Reiki. For those of you who haven’t, Reiki is an energy modality which originated in Japan in the early 1900’s. It is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on touch which is gaining in popularity through-out the country and is considered a complimentary modality. It provides relaxation and stress reduction and is currently being provided by volunteers in hospitals and hospices around the country, including Sharp Memorial Hospital, Sharp Grossmont Hospital and The Elizabeth Hospice here in the San Diego area. In fact, the SDRC began with a group of volunteers providing Reiki to oncology patients at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Proceeds from the April 29 event will be used to continue supporting our community, educational and up-coming volunteer events in 2018.
