No To War, Inequality, & Censorship
The Socialist Equality Party is running candidates for Congress and Senate in California. The SEP is fighting to mobilize the working class in California, throughout the US, and internationally against the Democrats and Republicans and the ruling class agenda of war, social counter-revolution, censorship and authoritarianism. The first three months of 2018 have seen an immense escalation of class conflict around the world. In the United States, the West Virginia teachers strike has been followed by demands from teachers in other cities and states for strike action. Protests of student youth against school shootings expressed widespread hostility to war and social inequality. The growth of the class struggle is bringing workers into conflict with the capitalist ruling elite and its two parties. The Trump administration is waging a war against the working class, carrying out a campaign of terror against immigrants, and threatening the nuclear annihilation of North Korea. The Democrats, meanwhile, have focused their opposition to Trump and the demand that he escalate aggression against Russia and intervention in Syria. The unsubstantiated claims of "Russian meddling" are being used to censor the Internet, the greatest assault to free speech since the Second World War. In this meeting, SEP candidates David Moore for Senate and Kevin Mitchell for Congress (51st District) will explain the program and perspective of the SEP.
