Executive Order 9066: Japanese American Incarceration During WWII
820 E Street, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
Join us to hear from local Japanese Americans share their experiences and views on Executive Order 9066. In February 1942, two months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, EO 9066 ordered the removal of ethnic Japanese living on the US West Coast. Two thirds of them were American citizens. Learn how two of these children, interned with their families, recall evacuation and camp life. Juxtapose their memories with the next generation’s views.
