Motiv8 Teen Service Summit
What does it take to motivate San Diego high school teens to volunteer to serve others? Motiv San Diego is hosting four inspiring speakers from national and local organizations to rev up 300 San Diego high school teens. Motiv San Diego Teen Service Leaders Julia Bernicker and Aadil Rehan will serve as the day’s hosts and introduce the speakers. Headlining the day will be Brent Camalich, founder of Dude. Be Nice.; Tina Hovsepian, founder of Cardborigami; Michael Gaulden, career development coordinator at the Monarch School; and Lizzy Divine, director of campaign strategy at Do Something. In addition to these inspirational speakers there will be dynamic workshops, a nonprofit expo of more than 50 organizations offering teens many ways to serve the San Diego community, collaborative service projects, and a lot of free giveaways to thank teens for their dedication to volunteering. Motiv8 is open to all San Diego high school students. Registration is free through the generosity of the Jim Joseph Foundation, Jewish Federation of San Diego County, and the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center.
