A Century of Legacy and Valor: Restoring Marine Corps Aviation History is the theme of the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation’s annual gala. Reception at 5 pm at the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum with dinner following at 7 pm at the MCAS Miramar Officers Club. Guest of Honor: General Terrance Dake, former Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. Speaker: Mr. Taras Lyssenko, co-owner of A&T Recovery, who recovered the Museum’s World War II-era SBD-1 Dauntless after it spent more than 50 years at the bottom of Lake Michigan.
Proceeds benefit the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum’s operation, education programs, and restoration activities.
