St. Lawrence String Quartet
Russell Lane at Gilman Drive, San Diego, 92037
Cost: $9 - $54
Serving as ensemble-in-residence at Stanford University since 1998, the St. Lawrence String Quartet continues to build their reputation for imaginative and spontaneous music making through an energetic commitment to the established quartet literature, as well as the championing of new works by such composers as John Adams, Osvaldo Golijov, Ezequiel Viñao, and Jonathan Berger. The program includes John Adams' Second Quartet, Ludwig Van Beethoven's String Quartet No. 16 in F Major, Op. 135, and Camille Saint-Saëns' String Quartet No. 1, Op. 112.
