Fleet Night of Science
Investigate the Fleet Science Center after hours at our next Fleet Night of Science event: Detectives vs. Engineers! This 21+ event celebrates the newest offerings at the Fleet: our new giant screen film Dream Big: Engineering Our World and our latest exhibition, Sherlock Holmes and the Clocktower Mystery.
As a detective, you’ll explore Sherlock Holmes and the Clocktower Mystery to see if you can solve the crime, then delve into the science of fingerprinting and extracting DNA and take your turn in outwitting a puzzle room. As an engineer, you can catch the premiere of Dream Big, then put on your hard hat and construct a derby car, create a Rube Goldberg contraption, and design a structure that will survive our earthquake simulator.
At the end of the evening, you choose which you enjoyed most—being a Detective or an Engineer. Food and drinks (including adult beverages) will be available for purchase. Admission to the event is $15. Admission to the film screening plus the event is $20. Detectives vs. Engineers event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Arrive early for the Dream Big film screening at 6 p.m., presented locally by The Shiley Foundation.
