Heritage Quilt Show
The annual Julian Woman's Club Heritage Quilt Show. Quilts on display range from antiques to quilts made by children and experienced local quilters with a wide variety of styles, colors, and patterns. Visitors from around the world attend the show and vote for their favorite quilt, with a ribbon going to the Viewers' Favorite quilter.
A Country Store at the show will sell quilts and boutique items made by club members. A Quilt Opportunity Drawing is part of the event. A dozen club members created a stunning quilt designed by renowned quilter Eleanor Burns in her Julian studio. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The quilt drawing will be held on July 4th following the annual Julian Independence Day Parade.
Funds raised by the quilt raffle and sales from the Country Store help support the Julian Woman's Club's philanthropic projects, including high-school scholarships, programs for children, and local organizations such as the Historical Society and Friends of the Library. The show, organized by the Julian Woman's Club, is sponsored by the Julian Chamber of Commerce and has been a popular event since its first show in 1926.
