San Diego indie rock quartet Buckfast Superbee formed in 1997 after guitarist Nick Keyser and drummer Matt Burlile placed an advertisement in a local weekly seeking a singer and bassist; in guitarist TJ, they found neither, although he was reluctantly pushed to assume lead vocal duties regardless.
