Los Angeles indie act the Cherry Bluestorms is a highly stylized rock band inspired by the sounds, looks, and culture of 1960s Britain, but with a contemporary twist. Glen Laughlin (former longtime guitarist for the Dickies) and solo singer-songwriter Deborah Gee formed the band after meeting at a coffeehouse and discovering their mutual love of the 1960s. The band’s debut album Transit of Venus and follow-up Bad Penny Opera were praised by the San Diego Troubadour, L.A. Weekly, Goldmine, Glasswerk UK, and others.
