The Shai Maestro Trio features an Athenaeum debut by celebrated Israeli pianist Maestro, with Jorge Roeder on bass and Ziv Ravitz on drums. Maestro first appeared on the jazz scene as pianist in the trio of phenomenal Israeli bassist, Avishai Cohen. Maestro relocated to New York City in 2009 and in 2011 formed his trio there with Peruvian-born bassist Roeder and fellow Israeli Ravitz. He established a busy career working with artists including John Patitucci, Theo Bleckmann, Mark Guiliana, Donny McCaslin, Ben Wendel, Anat Cohen, Antonio Sanchez, Avishai Cohen, Scott Colley, Ari Hoenig, Gerald Clayton, Camila Meza, Julian Lage, and Matisyahu, among others.
