Energy Independence Celebration
Three years ago, the County Board of supervisors formally recognized Sullivan Solar Power for leading the solar energy revolution in San Diego. On July 1st we are celebrating this accomplishment with a day of events across San Diego county, including Scripps Ranch. Experts from leading San Diego-based organizations, the Center for Sustainable Energy and the Climate Action Campaign, and certified energy practitioners will help you combat the growing confusion about going solar in an educational seminar designed for the Scripps Ranch community. Participants are also invited on a self-guided tour to view solar-powered homes in each community and speak with homeowners about their experience going solar. The homes can be viewed at any time between 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Locations of the homes will be provided following a RSVP. You'll learn how solar works, if solar will work for your home, latest technologies, battery integration with solar, how much solar and batteries cost, financing options, available incentives, and how to choose a solar provider To complete the day, attendees are invited to continue the celebration from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. with free food from local food trucks, local micro brews, live music, electric vehicle test drives, kids corners with solar activities, and more.
