Gingerbread House Contest
Queenstown Public House, located at the corner of Columbia and Cedar, is turning its Victorian homestead into a life-size gingerbread house for the month of December. In the spirit of the season, the restaurant is collecting new and unwrapped toys on behalf of Monarch, a school dedicated to educating K-12 homeless youth.
Donations will accepted between November 27 to December 21. Any patron donating a toy will receive a gingerbread house kit and is encouraged to enter the “Kid at Heart” gingerbread house decorating contest. The adult category of the contest will be held at Queenstown on Wednesday, December 13 from 7 pm to 10 pm. Queenstown is also hosting a children's gingerbread decorating contest from November 27 to December 13. Anyone under 12 will be able to submit a photo of their decorated house by emailing [email protected]. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category.
