Attorney Lisa Lopez describes her nonprofit organization, the Southern California Immigration Project, which was established to help women gain asylum or to be resettled as refugees. Lisa received funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to create a support group for refugee women. Iman Bakour-Aziz, Syrian Project Outreach Coordinator at Jewish Family Service of San Diego, discusses her efforts to help Syrian refugees as they adjust to a new life in our community.
