Campanile Music Festival
5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, 92182
Cost: Free
The festival features SDSU music faculty performing with visiting artists. Throughout the event week each artist presents a “masterclass” on his or her instrument — the audience watches a solo performance on stage and the expert offers instruction afterward, a peek at what a private music lesson might be like with that performer.
For this finale concert performance, violinist and faculty member Pei-Chun Tsai joins Laura Albers (San Francisco Opera orchestra), Gareth Zehngut (Minnesota Orchestra), and Ani Aznavoorian (Camerata Pacifica). The musicians present work by Johannes Brahms, Bohuslav Martinu, and Philip Glass.
