“Finding treasures where I least expect to and turning them into a representation of who I am makes my clothes all that more special”
Miranda Potmesil 2 p.m., May 16
Join Jim Peugh, a frequent kayaker on our bays, as he takes a small group to visit the edges of salt marshes and open water areas to get close-up views of bird life. Shorebirds, herons, and other species await. Species highlights: pacific loon, brant, double-crested cormorant, American white and brown pelicans, and pied-billed, eared, and Western grebes.
Tandem kayaks are provided, and participants will receive training. As with any boating activity, you may get wet. For your comfort, bring along a dry change of clothing.
