A Thousand Faces of Love: A Rumi Inspired Concert
Dedicated to build and expand bridges amongst different cultures to strengthen the community, Persian Cultural Center is inviting the public to join a concert featuring the poetry of Rumi performed by an unusual trio: A U.S. Navy Veteran, a Muslim refugee from Iran, and a Mexican poet. Ari Honarvar, the founder of Rumi With a View, is a San Diego resident and has been bringing forth Rumi's message by traveling the country collaborating with musicians, such as Oscar winning Yuval Ron blending poetry (in Farsi and English) with beautiful music.
Molana Rumi is a best selling poet. Ken Goff is a gong master with 45 years of experience of musicianship with percussive instruments, gongs, and sound healing. Ari Honarvar born into a family of poets and poetry lovers, is an artist who blends calligraphy and paint to present Persian poetry. Carlos Velasco is an international recording artist, poet, composer, guitar player, and singer with 35 years of experience.
